Today, Sunday, 7 December 2025, a special meeting was held at the Syndicate Council headquarters in the capital, Erbil, dedicated to discussions on membership and the issuance of journalists’ ID cards.
At the beginning of the meeting, Akad Murad, a member of the Syndicate Council, welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude and appreciation to all branches and offices for the work they have carried out recently. He explained to the participants the purpose and details of issuing the new smart journalist ID card, as well as the new decisions related to journalist membership for the upcoming year.
Afterwards, Azad Hama-Damin, President of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate, clarified several key points regarding media affairs, journalistic work, membership procedures, the number of Syndicate members, and the appropriate system for managing information in this field.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives and directors of the branches and offices also shared their comments and observations.
