A joint meeting between the Secretariat of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate and the High Council of Women and Development was held to discuss and advance the media ethics project.
On Sunday, February 8, 2026, a joint meeting took place at the headquarters of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate to continue cooperation and coordination aimed at protecting the role and status of women in media and social media. The meeting brought together representatives of the High Council of Women and Development and the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate.
Dr. Khanzad Ahmed, Secretary-General of the High Council of Women and Development, accompanied by a delegation, met with Azad Hamadamin, President of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate, along with Vice President Bzhar Hakim and council members Hendrin Ahmed and Akad Murad.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the influence and position of women in media and social media, along with several related issues concerning women’s status in these fields. The participants also discussed drafting a media ethics plan and updating laws related to media work. The Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate expressed its support for the High Council of Women’s project.
